Vendors must register with RPJ by providing the necessary identification and contact details to obtain a unique vendor ID. Indicate whether you are donating or require payment. If payment is required, complete the payment application form.
Register nowVendors collect and deliver recyclable plastics to RPJ depots or request a scheduled pick-up. A Goods Received Note (GRN) document with a unique number is issued. This serves as a reference for payment processing, the number of bags collected, and weight confirmation.
Upon delivery or pick-up, all PET TYPE1 and HDPE TYPE 2 plastics are weighed at the depot. The verified weight is recorded and communicated to the vendor via email, WhatsApp, or text.
Once you have accumulated 150 lbs. (68 kg) or more of PET TYPE #1 and HDPE TYPE #2. RPJ processes the payment due to the vendor through the LASCO MoneyGram platform or Bank Transfer for Schools, businesses, and churches.
The vendor is notified of the completed payment via their preferred communication method, along with the transaction number for collection at their local Lasco MoneyGram Outlet.
Vendors can receive their payment at any LASCO MoneyGram outlet using the transaction number provided by RPJ. Schools, businesses, and churches will receive their funds electronically deposited directly into the bank account they specified on the payment registration form.
RPJ is responsible for administrating Jamaica's Deposit Return Scheme on plastic bottles, which is the money paid for the return (or recycling) of plastic bottles. The current DRS is $50 per kilogram (Approximately $22 per pound).
