Truck Driver Assistant (Sideman)

 POSITION:             TRUCK DRIVER ASSISTANT (SIDEMAN)

DEPARTMENT:      LOGISTICS

REPORTING TO:     LOGISTICSMANAGER

Job Brief

We are seeking to employ an efficientdriver assistant (sideman) to ensure our organization’s operations continue ina smooth and effective manner. The sideman will be responsible for assistingthe driver with collections, issuing of GRNs (receipts) and maintaining vendorrelationships.

Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading collected     materials
• Assisting drivers to find     locations
• Effectively communicating with     clients and customers to resolve complaints
• Liaising with the main office     or the warehouse logistics team to notify of any difficulties
• Assisting with the unloading of     the truck at the end of each cycle
• Ensuring GRNs (receipts) are     completed and issued
• Ensuring that all safety     policies and procedures are adhered to

Requirements:

·       High school diploma

·       The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·       The ability to lift heavy objects

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Strong work ethic
