Recently, we celebrated Recycle Week 2021. Recycle Week is celebrated annually and was designed to promote the benefits of recycling as well as to highlight the actions that lead to a cleaner environment. The theme chosen for this year was “Step it Up”. Step it Up means understanding the state of the natural environment and simply doing more to reduce and prevent further damage.

What’s better?... You can continue to step it up long after Recycling Week. Here are four simple ways you can do that:
1. Be consistent in your recycling efforts. Just keep going. Be that inspiration to your household and your community. It makes a difference.
2. Stay informed on the types of products around you that can be recycled and where these can be deposited.
3. Share the importance of recycling with others so they can reap the rewards you have.
4. Participate or initiate clean up activities and bottle drives in your community and the wider environment.
